Disease Control and Biosecurity   Glanbrook CADORA Dressage Shows- 2023
General
All competitors must be aware that EC and OE sanctioned shows will have a heightened awareness and procedures for control of disease spread among horses on the show grounds. Any horse exhibiting signs of illness must not be transported to the show. Vaccination certification, in advance of the show, must be submitted with entries and all horses must be temperature checked prior to travelling to the show. Any horse with a temperature over 39o C should be considered unwell. Please bring a rectal thermometer to the show, to monitor throughout the day. Refer to the Prize List for additional details of biosecurity in the barn areas and show grounds.

At check-in, before entering the barn area, please report the temperature of the horse, taken prior to transport.

Definition of a Sick Horse
For your information, consider the following:
-Elevated temperature of 39o C or greater
-Nasal discharge
-Cough
-Aggressive or depressed behavior
-Diarrhea
-Open sores
This list does not include all the possibilities for disease and are just a guide. Any abnormal behaviour or symptom must be considered as an indication that the horse is not well. If any horse is found to exhibit the above symptoms, or any other indication of illness, it should not be transported.
If an unwell horse arrives at the show grounds, it will be isolated at its own trailer and may require medical assessment. Any costs associated with a medical assessment will be born by the person responsible for the horse. Other horses travelling with the sick horse cannot enter the barn area and may also be subject to medical assessment
